Building apps and running activations, doing all of their social and shooting broadcast spots, we've been Palermo's digital partner for years, devving & revving over a dozen sites.

Palermo's is a growing pizza company that makes some of the most popular frozen pizzas in the country, through their family of recognizable brands as well as white-label wholesale. Their in-house bakery and authentic Italian recipes makes Palermo's a standout choice in the notoriously competitive pizza aisle.

Over the past 9 years, Northern Ground has worked on over dozen sites for their various brands, as well as corporate. Our video production team has shot their broadcast spots, strategizing and running activations, and we even made an iOS game based on their Screamin' Sicilian brand, which they call the craft beer of frozen pizza. All the brands have grown. AIn that time we've collectively put on 196lbs.

When we started Screamin' had $0 in revenue. Today they are a national retail brand disrupting a once stagnant category fueled by price and nostalgia. Millions of social media engagements.

Urban Pie strived to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the frozen pizza aisle with cutting-edge innovations, like Roman-inspired Pinzza or cauliflower-infused crust. We created 3 custom fonts for a site that offers its own meme-maker tool design to encourage social posts.

Primo Thin is their flagship line of products, with a thin, Milwaukee-style cracker crust. The site showcases dozens of different varieties, with indexed ingredients, nutritional information, baking instructions, supports their rewards program and advances the design language of their brand.

Over the years, in addition to marketing projects we have built numerous custom digital applications for Palermo's, such as a store finder integrated with their inventory, and a unique asset-manager that stored and indexed calendar year after calendar year of creative assets for use by agencies and their in-house marketing team. If it's digital and has literally anything to do with pizza, Northern Ground has created it.

  • Northern Ground created & posted Screamin' Sicilian's first 350+ Instagram posts as a brand new brand.

  • We also concepted & created a video shoot with the one and only Rollie Fingers for a Screamin' Sicilian Contest.

It’s a unique experience to stretch out so much within one brand. Working on Palermo’s means retouching fresh vegetables for Primo Thin on Monday and animating a talking pepperoni for Screamin’ Sicilian on Tuesday - it’s great!
