A fresh brand for aged cheese

Alpinage’s rebrand pays homage to the legacy of two renowned cheesemaking regions—Wisconsin and the French Alps—blending bold American craftsmanship with European elegance. Every design element, from typography to imagery, tells a story of tradition, quality, and warmth.

Drawing inspiration from Wisconsin’s dairy industry of the 1930s and 40s, we created a bespoke monoline logotype that strikes a balance between nostalgia and modernity. This signature mark encapsulates Alpinage’s commitment to artisanal excellence while feeling fresh and relevant in today’s market.

Designed for long-term growth, Alpinage’s branding extends seamlessly across packaging, retail displays, and future product lines. The adaptable identity ensures consistency as the company expands into new markets and product categories.

To support Alpinage’s transition from specialty cheese shops to national retail, we developed a custom, multi-lingual Shopify-powered ecommerce platform that offers a fun, memorable brand experience.

The website’s artwork draws from vintage French illustrations, evoking the timeless craftsmanship of cheesemaking while adding a sense of intimacy and warmth. These artistic elements reinforce the communal joy of sharing a Raclette meal.

We pushed Shopify’s native CMS capabilities to their limits, designing bespoke layouts and interactive animations that bring the Alpinage brand to life. The site seamlessly blends storytelling with ecommerce functionality, ensuring an engaging and intuitive user experience.

High-resolution imagery captures the rich textures, golden hues, and impeccable meltability of Alpinage’s signature Raclette wheels. The visuals emphasize the indulgent, sensory experience of the cheese, positioning it as a must-have for culinary enthusiasts.
